Glossary
Plain-English explanations of every term you'll see across the OP forms.
- MT4 / MT5
- MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 — the trading platforms clients use. Each client has a numeric account number tied to one of these.
- TA (Trading Account)
- A client's individual account on MT4 or MT5. One client can have multiple TAs under different groups or currencies.
- Negative Balance
- When a client's account balance drops below zero due to trading losses. OP can clear this to reset the account to zero.
- Platform Time
- The server time shown on the MT4/MT5 platform. Always use this when reporting order issues — not local time.
- ECN
- Raw spread account — clients pay the tightest market spread plus a per-lot commission. Best for high-volume traders.
- Premium
- Mid-tier account with slightly wider spreads and no separate commission charge.
- STP
- Standard account type. Wider spreads, no commission. Most common for retail clients.
- STP05 / STP10
- STP with an additional 0.5 or 1.0 pip markup on top of the standard spread. Often used for sub-IB clients.
- STP-USC
- Standard account denominated in US cents instead of US dollars. The account balance is shown in cents.
- IB (Introducing Broker)
- A partner who refers clients to Anzo Capital. They earn a rebate on the trading volume generated by their referred clients.
- MIB (Master IB)
- A senior IB who manages a network of IBs below them. Sub-IB rebate rates cannot exceed the MIB's own rate.
- Sub-IB
- An IB that sits under a Master IB in the hierarchy. They introduce clients and share rebates within the MIB's allowed limits.
- IB Tree
- The full hierarchy — MIB at the top, IBs in the middle, and their clients at the bottom. A Tree Group Change moves everyone in this tree to a new trading group.
- Rebate
- Commission paid to an IB for each lot traded by their referred clients. Paid in the IB's account currency.
- Rebate Rate
- The per-lot amount paid across instrument types. Format: Fx / Bullion / Oil / CFD / Crypto (e.g. 5 / 4 / 2 / 1 / 0).
- T-1 Rebate
- Trades closed today are rebated the next business day. If a client closed trades on Monday, the IB receives the rebate on Tuesday.
- MIB Rate
- The maximum rebate rate set by the Master IB. No sub-IB under them can be assigned a rate higher than this.
- Max Rate
- The highest rebate rate available for a given trading group. Selecting this automatically assigns the group's ceiling rate.
- Sales Code
- Your unique staff identifier. Every OP form requires this so submissions are attributed to the correct account manager.
- OP Team
- The internal Operations team that processes all form submissions and makes changes in the back office.
- Compensation
- A credit or balance adjustment applied to a client's account to correct a platform error, execution issue, or agreed settlement. Must be pre-approved by a TL or SM.
- TL / SM
- Team Leader / Sales Manager. Compensation amounts must be agreed with either before submitting a compensation request.
